GM Certified vehicle checklist

I purchased a GM Certified 2003 EC Sierra 4WD SLT with 24K on it from a dealer about 2 months ago. I realize that this truck is not known for its braking efficiency but it seems I have to push extremely hard on the pedal before I get any response.

 

How thorough is the brake inpection on a Certified vehicle and could I take it back to the dealer, and if something indeed was wrong, get a covered repair? It is still under the original warranty but somehow I doubt the brakes are covered.

The checklist is thorough, but really, the inspection is only as thorough as the guy who does the inspection.

 

Brakes are not covered for normal wear, but otherwise, they're covered just like the rest of the vehicle. Wear to the point of needing replacement should be caught and repaired during the inspection process.
