Rear AC blowing cold air (2000 Tahoe 5.3L)

My wife's 2000+ Chevy Tahoe LT 5.3L is blowing cold air when the heater is turned on. The front heater vents blow hot, but the rear never approaches anything more than a little warm. I swear I saw a post on hear about a year ago about a similar problem someone was having, but I can't find it after searching for an hour. :flag:

Does anyone know how to improve the performance of the rear heater on late model tahoes/burbs/yukons? I swear it worked decent (not great, but better than nothing) when we bough it a few years ago. Thanks.

It could be a duct hose loose or otherwise leaking the hot air out.

I suppose that's one thing I could check--where are they located? It seems like in the lost post that I can't find, someone had found a way to remove or modify something in the rear heater assembly to make the whole rear heater more efficient and effective. Thanks.

Does it have dual heater cores? If so, perhaps your core needs replaced. Otherwise I would think ducting as already suggested. I guess it could be the control unit as well.

There is a TSB on a T connection (or similar) that you can get replaced with a larger diameter unit to allow, I presume, more hot water to circulate back there. I never got mine done, and so the rears never get even half as hot as the front vents.
