So I think I got a problem...

I just bought this 99 Yukon Denali.I paid $9K for it so I would think I am in the clear money wise.

I drove it all the way from Tampa(4hr trip) a couple weeks ago and no issues whatsoever..ran cool oil pressure strong.tranny shifted nice.blah blah blah.

A few days ago I given it a good cleaning and had totally forgotten about doing my fluids..open up the hood and the oil is a bit low maybe 1/2qt..radiator is low enough I can't see it.Coolant tank is dry but very clean.Dex-cool..Hmm Weird.Usually they get low and sludge up a bit..not this one very clean and no sign of boil-over or an attempt to clean it.

Anyways, change the oil/filter(nice spot BTW for the filter)...fill the radiator and overflow tank...let the air out and crank her up....OH SNAP!!....nice little drip underneath off the back of the motor....was a good drip and then just every several seconds.

Now mind you this Denali hasn't dripped a drop since I got it...I'm thinkin I got a intake manifold leak..?..Right?

What are we lookin at money wise to fix this?..I'm not diggin into it.I got a good friend that has a auto repair shop that'll hook me up.I had a intake leak on my 93 4.3 BlazerS-10 and they only charged me $150/ gsakets to fix her up...is this gonna be the same type of deal on this 5.7?

Yep, pretty much the same process, maybe a few more things to take off. I'd check the heater hose nipple in the intake and make sure it's not what's leaking.

I had a intake leak on my 93 4.3 BlazerS-10 and they only charged me $150/ gsakets to fix her up...is this gonna be the same type of deal on this 5.7?

Yep, pretty much the same process, maybe a few more things to take off. I'd check the heater hose nipple in the intake and make sure it's not what's leaking.

I should follow the heater hose back to find it?

It didn't leak till I cranked it up...then it was right away dripping.
