Need help with replacing outside mirror/2001 Sub

Hello,

 

Can anyone give a 'step by step' procedure to replacing a mirror on a 2001 Suburban with a heated/electric mirror?  Are there any special tools required? The passenger side is completely loose on the pivot point and does not stay in place anymore.  It broke while pulling the mirror in.  Thanks.

It should help you out somewhat, but you'll have to email him or PM him (JPendlum on this forum) for some instructions on that.

Is it still under warranty and if so can you make up a plausible excuse, or, if as you said it happened by doing what is acceptable let GM fix it, not you.
