water leak

I just discovered I've got a water leak on the pass. side of my '98 Z71. I pulled the scuff plate and there is water puddled under it. The carpet pad is soaked. I've got Husky mats and the water is not dripping on it. The water must be running under the carpet. I've heard this is a fairly common problem on the OBS trucks. If anybody has an answer or fix, please let me know.

I'm not aware of it being a common issue on the old body style. Nothing specific I can tell you. You'll just have to water test it and try to find the entry point.

Not too but in, but did your windshield get replaced recently? There is a screw holding the cowl down, and if missing, the water will flow into the cab. Personnal experience!

I have this same problem with my K2500 2001. Anything to look for?

I think there was another post on this. Mine leaked at the speaker. the plastic that keeps the water behind the speaker curled and it ran into the cab. Look close for signs of water on the rubber seal for the door. Good luck.
