I have noticed for last couple of days that my truck seemed to turn over for a longer time before it started. I got worse over about three days and now it wont even start. Although it will start if you pour gas down it, but then it only runs until the gas is gone. So this is almost obviously a fuel pump problem? What is involved in changing it. Is it something I could do myself. or maybe its a clogged fuel filter, where is it located and is there any way to check it?

You could try the fuel filter, I would less than 10$. Should be on drivers side frame rail, about where the drivers seat would be. I would think you would know right away when loosening the lines if fuel comes out probably the filter. But honestly I haven't heard of a filter so clogged up it prevented the vehicle from running period. If it is the pump hope you don't got a lot of gas in the tank, cuz you gotta drop it to replace. Loads of fun.
