GPS

I just bought a new GPS. It is a Lowrance Ifinder H2O color. I am looking for a protective case for it. I have seen them online, but no pictures. Does anyone have one of these and how do you like it? It is a little more complicated than my old Gps, but I think it will work much better. I am going to mount it on my atv and in my truck for hunting and ice fishing. I don't want to get it all scratched up like my last GPS.

Fellow MN'r! I have the exact same GPS and it's been working great thusfar. It replaced my old Lowrance Global Map 100 which was getting pretty dated. I'm currently using the case I had for the GM100 and I think I bought it at Gander Mountain. It's made by GPS Outfitters and has a few pouches which help hold extra batteries, etc. Also has a belt loop. I bought that quite a few years ago so I'm not sure if they're around anymore, but it fits my H20-C perfectly.

I don't know if you've looked at mounts for your ATV and/or truck yet, but I'd recommend RAM mounts. They really work well.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked at the RAM mounts and actually have one for my old gps. It would work fine for the truck, but on the atv it will get muddy. I planned to use a case with a screen protector and mount it with large pieces of velcro. The RAM mounts fit so tight, I don't think a case can be used at the same time.

I am just getting used to using this thing and it has alot of nice features. The screen is unbelievable!

I don't know if you're a fisherman, but head over to the message board on www.fishingminnesota.com. Check out the equipment section and maybe post the question there. A ton of people have these units for ice fishing.
