bolt on performance!

I know I am gonna get mixed comments on this, I am looking to get more HP out of my 2005 yukon xl Denali 6.0 awd, Lookin for intake, exhaust, chips, programmers, superchargers and turbos anything bolt on and how far can I go before they really frown on warr. issues, I want to know the best parts not the most expensive parts, I know quality comes with a price but I want what works not whats the most bling bling gotta have part. Thanks

It depends on how much power you really want. A supercharger will probly cost the most, but net the most gains.

 

 

While I have never had my truck on a dyno, I did notice a slight improvement in power when I added my AEM Brute Force Air intake, another slight improvement with my Magnaflow Exhaust, but the very best bang for the buck and overall improvement was when I got a Westers Tune. I just got the 89-91 dual tune, not a hot tune and it made a lot of difference.

 

I guess it all depends on how much more power you really want and what your budget is.

Also depends on how long you want to keep / drive your truck. Read an interesting article in truck / car magazine a while back. Talking about all the mods and HP/TQ you can get out of a Duramax. Author really felt that the more you rod out your ride, the faster it will break down / fall apart / need rebuilding.

 

The choice is yours. How fast do you want to go? How much money do you want to spend? And if you are going to sell this ride down the road, who will buy it and will they give you a $$$ for your mods?

I didn't really notice a difference when I added my intake. I did notice a descent difference with my exhaust though. I believe a programmer will prettymuch void your warranty though, so if the warranty is a big concern, you might want to stay away from that.
