Broken Tailgate handle-1 Broken Hand-0

So I was finishing at a job Friday night and went to open the tailgate on my work truck, 2001 Sierra, pulled the handle, nothing happend. Pulled harder, nothing happend. Pushed the tailgate forward and pulled the handle, still nothing. Really pulled the handle, and the plastic handle broke, causing my hand to bang against the top of the tailgate, with some severe pain afterwords! When this truck was assigned to me it had just gotton a new handle (15,000 miles ago) The handles have been replaced on the other two trucks (99 and 2000 Silverados) my company has over their lifetime. CHEAP PLASTIC PARTS! The Joystick for my computer is made out of thicker plastic then the handle on my trucks!

So I take it the tailgate is still closed, still there, still not dented?

If it were me and it broke my hand, I would have gotten out the torch and cut the handle completely out, just to make sure I WON!!! LOL
