JetHot coating long term results

Howdy folks!

Been a long time since I've been on this board. I actually came back in to search my own posts to see when I installed my headers cuz I know I posted it to let everyone know how easy the install was.

Well, it's been since August of 2004 and the JetHot coated headers are finally starting to look like sh!t. I plan on emailing JetHot to complain but thought I'd post my woes here to see if anyone else has had headers coated by JetHot and to hear if their coating is still looking good. I was under the impression they had a lifetime coating warranty but can't find that anywhere on their website. If anyone knows or has had experience with JetHot standing behind their coatings (or not), lemme know.

Thanks!

What exactly are you experiencing with this coating? Any ceramic coat will dull over time. Especially if exposed to water, dirt, etc. You want to know the trick to make them look like new again?

Mother's Mag Polish! I guarantee the coater will tell you the same thing. It will clean and bring out the luster of the headers again. I think your only problem will be you would need to remove them competely to do a thorough job.

Yes, it's the "Sterling" coating. Still looks nice in certain areas but in many areas the finish has flaked up with dirty-looking corrosion underneath. Very odd. These were brand-new stainless steel headers that were sent to them for coating.
