My old truck now has frame damage, so I have been looking into gettin a real truck. My only problem is that I want the 4.10's and the 5.3HO. I am on a football scholarship so I also want leather seats because the Tundra did not smell too good after football. I am finding many HO motors with the sissy 3.42's. These trucks have every option that i want except for the gears. Would a dealership switch them out to close the deal or should I just ask for them to find me a truck with these options? I will most likely buy in the next 3 wks.

I got my Z71 off the lot with 4.10 gears and I highly recommend that set up with the 5.3L HO. If your dealer doesn't have that, go to gmbuypower.com. You can access every dealer's inventory in your area. Keep looking, you'll get what you want.

Why not order just what you want. :-0 Works for me.

 

BTW Why would you want the dealer to muck up your truck? Changing the gears will compromize the integerity of the truck. Myself want nothing done (unless its warrenty) to my vehicles. Not saying the techs cant do it but the accuracy of multi million dollar guages and equiptment are second to none. Trial & error dont get it in my books.
