So has everybody seen the new fram boost air intake? I signed up for the fram400 contest and just recieved my winner conformation today!! Said it'll be be here in 4-6 weeks. I have been lookin and comparing air intakes since I bought the truck. I guess it's a good thing I didn't buy one, cause now I get to try one for FREE :)

Oh well had to share my joy.

Fram has gotten into the performance air intake buisness. They had a contest and gave away 400 new systems. Checkout framboost.com.

Only problem is i have heard nothing but horrible news regarding any fram product. Not sure how any performance lines for them are but as far as there regular products, they have been bashed into the dirt the last couple years regarding quality and reliability of the products they sell.

I agree. I do not use any of their products for that reason. But a free alluminum tube (at the least if I change filter) is well worth what it cost me. I run K&N's in my other rides and if you look around you will find bad press on those too. I plan on checking the tube often (for the first couple of months) to see if there is any dirt makig it thru. I'll post up a review when I get it and install it.

Since this has got to be the first thing I have ever WON I am still stoked (if only it could have been the lottery :) )

Did you guys ever get the product?  How did it perform?

Sorry for pulling up an old thread....

A buddy of mine got one recently and it is junk. It does let dirt in the TB. He took it off after about a week. I would NEVER buy a Fram product. Quality has declined drastically over the last few years. Years ago it was top of the line, but not even close now.
