Denali Suspension

Question

I recently purchased a 01 Denali, and it has some sort of self leveling suspension or something, i have been looking into lowering kits and they say that i cant use the stock shocks, but i want to keep the self leveling feature, as i do plan on using my vehicle to tow trailers, is there anyway i can lower my denali, and retain the self leveling feature, even if i have to make a bracket or something

any help would be great.

Those shocks are for thr ride control switch not auto leveling, my 02 Denali Sierra has the same, my wifes 03 Yukon Denali however has auto leveling like a hummer. You should be able to lower it with the torsion bars and some rear springs.

thanks for your help Dan, its just that i am a little confused, as far as self leveling and ride control, i dont know which i have, my shocks look like they have airbags attached to them and whenever i load a trailer or something, it wirrs and spins, and the back of the truck goes up, which do i have? thanks again, and it sounds like you got some pretty nice rides sitting in the drive, thanx again Dan

How much do you want to lower it?

If you just want to drop the back a couple of inches, just move the auto-leveling sensor down a bit.

Truman, I thought you had a pickup, you do have an air pump and auto leveling and it should be easy to lower the rig by turning out the torsion bar bolts in the front and adjusting the air ride control in the rear. I don't know if a new front end alignment is required when you lower the front?
