'03 trailblazer LTZ stock DVD system thru speakers

ok sorry to post this question... according to the owners manual, "the audio from the dvd system can only be heard either through the wireless (IR) headphones provided, or through wired headphones (not included).

 

this makes no sense to me. i have the stock bose 6 disc system and the stock dvd system.

 

?? how can i make it so the sound playing from the dvd comes through the speakers ??

 

i guess i just assumed that's what the "aux" meant on the stereo.
