I have a chance to get a great deal on a set of American Eagle 186 polished aluminum (super finish) rims. Anyone know anything about them?

I have a set of a set of american eagle rockcrushers on my 04 F150. Nice wheel at a good price but it takes an enourmous amount of work to keep the shine on them, mine started dulling immediately. I HIGHLY suggest chrome.

That was my biggest concern, keeping the luster with minimal work. I think I will go with chrome. Thanks for the advice.

Definatly go chrome you will not regret it!

I've been running a set of AE wheels now for ~ 2 years with no problems. Mine are polished finish, but I had them clear powder coated (glad I did). I run mine year-around, and no problems even with the winter salt they put on the roads around here. Not sure how long the clear coat will last, but so far so good.

I think that's the wheels I had on my '02 (that are now sitting in my garage)...They are a complete and total PITA to keep shiny.

Had American Eagle Chrome wheels for 2 + years on my AV without a problem.
