? about Crank relearn????

i just got my wait4 me tune on my stock pcm and have herd about guys that get this crank relearn done , what is this , what advantage does it give and do i need it , also do yall think jesse removed the torque management ive herd about ,thanks guys

Is this tune on your factory PCM? If yes, then there is no need for the relearn. The relearn is for the PCM to know exactly where the Crank is mainly for identifying which cylinder for misfire detection.

 

Did you request torque management removal?

yes , i sent my stock pcm to wait 4 me , i didnt ask for TM removal but i did ask for the best performance and gas mileage

If you didn't request it, I doubt he removed it. He may have reduced it though. Email Jesse and ask.

what does the crank relearn do exacly?

A crankshaft variation relearn

must be performed if:

A diagnostic trouble code of P1336 is

present.

 

The computer has been replaced or

re-programmed.

 

The crankshaft position sensor has been

replaced.

 

The engine, harmonic balancer, clutch, or

flywheel have been: disassembled,

removed, or replaced.

 

The crankshaft position variation

learning feature enables the

computer to compensate for part

manufacturing tolerances. This allows the computer to accurately

detect an engine misfire throughout

the engine RPM range. The learning

process is stored in the computer’s

memory and does not have to be

repeated unless one or more of the

above conditions are present.

I removed mine, all of it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's all in how you drive and it can save some wear and tear on your truck, especially the transmission. I would recommend about a 70% reduction.
