Here my my ride. I am debating if I should take off the black molding on the sides? Any suggestions? Anyone do this? Hard to take off? Is it just stuck on with glue?

Looks Great! IMO yes, it would look better with the black molding removed or painted to match.

Its not hard to remove the chevy molding just pull it off pretty much. If you cant get it started, 30-lb test spider wire helps the process. If you had a new body GMC you would definetly want the spider wire since the body molding isnt flexible. Once you get the molding off then just use your thumb to roll the remaining glue off. Quite a tedious process but not hard. Hope this helps.

Anybody ever paint the molding to match? I suppose you would have to take it off to paint it though anyways? I may take it off this weekend, but still unsure. Might give it a cleaner look with the molding off.

 

I did a quick photoshop of what it would look like without the molding. I am still unsure if I want to take on the task, just in case I take the molding off and I can't get the glue off or it ruins the paint for some reason.
