Front End Chirping Noise

Recommended Posts

I can't figure this one out. I have a noise that recently started and sounds like a it's coming from the drivers side suspension The sound is similar to rubber squeaking such as a control arm, body/frame, or torsion bar bushing. I just changed the shocks and it had no affect. I sprayed all the suspension bushings with silicon spray. No difference. Would control arm bushings begin to fail at 36K miles or would the fix be to remove the bolts and lube the steel sleeve inside the bushing? I'm going to take it into the stealer for diagnosis tomorrow, just thought I ask if anyone else has experienced this problem? Thanks..

I am almost sure there is a TSB out on this problem. Mine (2006 Sierra 1500 crew cab 4wd) also has it at 17k miles but I have not taken it in. Sorry that I don't know specifics.
