bogs after shift

Recommended Posts

3k miles ago(January), the stealership put a Gm reman trans in my 01 GMC Z71. I have noticed that when it shifts from 1-2 or 2-3, there is a slight bog in power, almost like I was riding my bike in 6th gear at 40mph. Is this common, or should I run it back to the shop and let them look at it?(50k mile warranty on trans)

There is a larger ratio jump for 1st to 2nd (3.06 vs 1.60) which can produce a sizable drop in engine RPMs at times and the engine maybe stumble some if it is not woking properly. There is a stilght change that if they replace the torque converter in installed the wrong one that it is too tight for engine and agrivatting the RPM drop. When you do this shift to second gear, what is your RPM after it first shifts and just before shift?

OK! I just got home from work. Under moderate throttle my transmissions shifts from 1-2 @ between 1500 and 2000rpm, it shifts from 2-3 between 2000 and 2500rpm. is this normal shift range?
