Wiper Woes!!!

Occasionally, my wipers on my 1992 Sierra don't work. Dealer says I need to replace the wiper module.  Does someone know where it's located & how to replace it?

There is a curcuit board by the wiper motor.  These have been known to have some cracks in the silver solder connections.

 

All you need to do is remove the board and use your soldering iron and touch up some of the bad connections.

 

Some of the other guys here have done that repair before so they will be able to give you some more specifics.

If soldering doesn't work, the board is $38 at the dealer.
