HELP!!!! KYB shock question

I bought some KYB Mono max shocks in accordance with the KYB website, for my 99 tahoe. PN 565062 for the front and 565061 for the back. I just took one off and its about 1/2 to 3/4 inch shorter than the stock Bilstien???? How can I hook this thing up...or should I??? Im going on a summer vacation and I need help ASAP. Thanks in advance.....Mike

I got it!! Just had to jack up on the lower control arm...a little more than I felt comfortable with, but it went..Thanks Mike

It is not uncommon for shocks from different mfgs to be different lengths when the are fully extended out of the vehicle.
