factory alarm system

How do I get the lights to flash on my 99 Envoy when activating the factory alarm. It toots but no flasher. Also i want it to toot when i deactivate the alarm. Its flashes but no toot.

 

P.S. I already read the manuel, didnt help.

Do you have a (DIC) Driver's Information Center? If not then the dealer will have to do it. It requires a certain sequence of turns of the ignition key. At least that is the way the Trailblazers are done that do not have DIC.

Yes I do in the overhead console, front of the sunroof

The driver information center, that lets you see MPG, Average speed? Etc. Not the time and temp.

 

If you have the first one, then you can program the lights through the DIC. But you need the full DIC.

I have the one that shows mpg, ave speed, instant mpg, fuel used, fuel range along with temp and east, west, south, north
