how to increase idle speed (Envoy 2002)

My envoy is in Africa so I do not have access to a service center.

Here is my problem. The idle speed is so low (about 500 RPM).

As soon as I turn on the A/C the power drops and engine stalls.

There must be a way for my mechanic to increase the idle speed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

don'y know much about 02's, but my 01, where the throttle cable and cruise cable bracket attaches to the throttle body/intake, there is a torx screw that adjust's back lash/ slack in the cables at the intake end. i adjusted it untill at normal temp, the engine idles at 850. same problem here in south florida, stop and go, a/c on, 500-650 is too low to run with a/c on full. i would check and see if it is the same as the 01.

These trucks are drive by wire sounds like you need to clean the throttle body i did this to mine and it solved the problem. Only do this with the key in the off position or you will screw up the throttle plate.
