what are the optiond for "factory" sirius in a 99?

My co-worker has a '99 Sierra with the standard in-dash CD and no Bose. He currently has an FM modulated Sirius rig, but would like it to be integrated into the stock headunit like the newer trucks. His is an older 1.5 DIN unit. Are there any current sat-ready OEM radios that'll drop right into his truck?

I don't think GM has any Sirius-ready radios. There are kits that will install "permanently" into a vehicle and connect to the stock radio, but you will still need to use a small display with the buttons on it.

 

These kits are much nicer than the big, bulky plug-and-play units.

There is an adapter galled the GM-SIRU1 i believe that will adapt an XM ready GM HU into Sirius
