Help!! Reprogram factory CD player for '06 truck?

I have a 2006 Work Truck that came with the AM/FM, and I installed a RDS CD player out of a 2004. I have the VIN number of the truck it came out of. I cannot find ANY local dealers who will reprogram it for me. Is there anything I can do myself? IS there a way to reprogram the thing yourself? Any help is appreciated.

I was in the exact same situation- same details with the years and everything. You'll have to find someone with a tech II scanner, a dealer probably to do it. It's like a 15 minute job, but I had trouble finding someone to do it too. I ended up driving 2 hrs to a guy I met on ebay selling these and met him at the dealer after hours. I gave the guy $20 for his time, but I could find no dealers in my area to do it for me. good luck.
