Any opinions on Super Springs?

Last winter when my waterline froze I borrowed a 300 gallon maple sap tank and used it to haul water home in my 02 Chevy 1500 4x4 WT. It was a wicked heavy load and the only thing that kept my leaf springs from inverting were my Timbrens. But I also haul 50 bales of hay at a time several times each year, as well as full loads of maple firewood now and then. I'd like to beef up the suspension in a way that doesn't make for a harsher ride when empty. I've heard Super Springs do just that -- you don't even know they're installed until you carry a heavy load. Any personal experience with them?

 

PS: I'm absolutely not interested in spending major bucks or any sort of adjustable shock, including air suspension systems. Usually my truck deals with the heaviest loads in winter and there is no way I want to crawl around chipping ice from the undercarriage at 30 below zero...nor do I want any components that will rust when exposed to our road salt.
