2007 duramax fuel

does anyone know if the duramax in the new style hd will require the newer diesel in MA and CA for emissions

If I understood correctly, the old diesel will be in the 07 "classic" edition. The new styles will come with the revised duramax engine for the new fuels.

All retailers have to have the ULSD in their tanks by Oct 15 2006. In California it's Sept 1. And both of those dates are before you can pick up the 07 Duramax. So I wouldn't be worried about not finding a station that doesn't have it.

Any vehicles built in the year 2007 will be ULSD complaint but NOT LSD complaint.

Just an FYI: VW, for instance is making extra 2006 diesels that will be sold in 2007. Since they will have manufacturing dates of 2006 they will still be allowed to be sold, even in 2007.

I don't know if GM or any other manufacturers will be doing the same.
