Rear Straps for 99 Chev CK 1500 Tail Gate

Does anybody know if there is a recall for the tail gate straps on a 99 Chev CK 1500 ?

Mine was, and I thought 99's were exempt because they had stainless to begin with, guess I was wrong.

My truck went in for the tail gate strap recall. I didn't see anything wrong with the old ones. The first thing I did after they replaced them was I removed the "Made in China" stickers from them.

Actully i heard about this and thought mine look good but one day unloading my quad tha tail gate cables snapped.....I was pissed ...I looked at them and they were totally rusted out .So i took it in for the recall and as posted above and got the stainlees ones from china

Thes ones better not break

Do a search on this and there has been people seriously injured and killed from them breaking
