Amp intall with OEM HU

I'm trying to install an amp and sub into my 2006 Silverado Ext Cab Z71. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram anywhere. My friend found one for his truck, he drives a 2003 Z71, but he said the colors were all off. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Also any ideas on where I should mount my amp would be great. I was thinking of placing a board under the carpet in the back passenger seat. Anyone ever tried this?

Really all you need is the speaker wires and an ignition switched "on" signal for the amp. What would be ideal for that is if you have a slave CD player or changer, the power wire, in the harnes going FROM the factory head unit TO the slave unit. (This way the amp will be on only when the head unit is on, would work on my truck, not positive on yours) The speaker wires are under the drivers door threshold, all taped up, you can tap the speaker wire there for either a line output convertor (converts speaker input to an RCA output) or for your amps speaker level inputs (if it has them). Just make sure for the "on" signal for the amp you don't tap a always on for things like the horn, clock, cigarette lighter, otherwise you'll have a dead battery in a hurry.
