Where to buy

Well, I was wondering where to buy the Ford Torsion Bar keys. I live in Houston and have called 3 local dealerships, 1 in College Station, and sent e-mails to 3 places online. Nobody has them. I was just wondering where you guys have been able to find these things and how much. I have been quoted between $22 and $28 each but they don't have them and none of them have offered to order them.

Please help. I'm going to buy new tires soon but I want to do the torsion bar fix before getting the new tires and an alignment.

My local dealership ordered them. It took 2 days.

$41.?? for the pair.

I let Sears do the alignment...6 month "warranty" on the job. They will re-do the alignment for 6 months!

I ordered a set yesterday and thought I would let you guys know where. I called around to the dealers locally and the cheapest I could find them was $22.22 each plus freight and tax. Then I went to fordpartsnetwork.com and ordered them for $18.99 each plus $7 shipping for both. So, for about $45 I should have them in a couple of days.

Just thought I would share for those of you wanting to get the keys for yourself.

MarkD: Thanks...I can't wait to get them and raise up that front end. I live in the Houston area. Cypress to be exact...far Northwest side in the Fairfield subdivision. And I work in Houston at I-10 and Eldridge on the West side.

D-n-TYke: The part number for the Ford keys is #XL3Z-5B328-CA. And I made a mistake...it was www.fordpartsnetwork.com. I will correct my previous post. Sorry guys.
