2000 5.3 1500 starting issues

I have a 2000 1500 with a 5.3. Sometimes when I go to start my truck It is hard to start, it usually happens after an hour or so after being driven but has done it a couple times in the morning also. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator but that didn't help. Any information would be great. THANKS

A couple quick a inexpensive things. Clean the throttle body, replace the fuel filter, replace the ign 1 relay in the underhood relay center.

I have the same problem now, 2000 5.3. It seems as though fuel may be leaking into a cyl or something. If it sits for a decent period of time it will crank for 3-5 secs and start there is a faint fuel smell or a little And I mean little smoke coming out with a rough idle which stops real quick and it runs fine. But if you turn it off and run in the store come out fires up normal, most mornings no problem???? Bad injector? if so how in the world would you know???Any ideas would be great.
