Swap console for jump seat

I have a 2005 Silverado Crew cab that has buckets with the center console. The console has a radio control and air ducts facing the back seat.

I want to remove the console and replace it with the center jump seat. Has anyone done this? and what problems will I run into. I know there is wire harness that runs through the console to a bose radio amplifier (???) and I will have to replace something on the dash.....any thought or advice would be helpful

I went the opposite way on my Yukon, from jumpseat to center console. It was a pretty painless swap in my case. For you though, it might be more involved. The center console not only has the amplifier but also the subwoofer, cig light and accessory power point. What are you planning to do with the amp and sub when the center console is gone? Go aftermarket maybe? You'll also need to replace the glovebox trim (this will have the cig lighter and accessory power point that you originally had with the center console) when you swap over to the jumpseat. Can't think of any else off hand but post any more questions you have. I'm sure there are others on the board who can help.

BTW, I still have my jumpseat and glovebox trim if you're interested. Don't know what color interior you have but mine is medium grey/pewter.

I got into it a bit and pulled the console. The radio wont work unless its plugged into the Amplifier and the rear speakers wont work unless the rear radio control from the console is plugged in also. Im gonna have to see if i can keep the amplifier under the jump seat once i get one and burry the wire harness but then i still have the read radio controll box and i was hoping to sell the console but it will be missing this piece. I havent thouht about the dash yet to figure what is needed - i know there is a hole under the radio that they must make a filler plate for......
