hello. first off i'd like to say sorry about the new topic, since i couldn't find anything after looking for bout 20 mins that would help me.

this morning i jumped in the truck started it up and drove to a gas station close to work like i do every morning..when i come out i jump in the truck turn the key and i hear the battery click a few times then nothing...so im thinking great the battery died somehow... i then turn it over a few more times just cause im tired and need to get to work, well after about 4 attempts i notice smoke rollin out of the hood, so i pop it and couldn't tell where it is coming from.

after work i had it towed to my house and poped the hood, turned the key to get it smokin again and found out the smoke was coming from underneath a cover that was screwed onto the firewall. on the cover it says grnd. fuel relay, and like 4 or 5 other things, so i pull the cover off and i see that there are 5 wires that are bolted to the firewall in a line. i turn the key, get smoke, and run up to see where its coming from. i see that the ground wire on the left had touched the middle wire out of the 5, and burnt threw the wire. It didnt go threw all the way but the copper wire is showing. pulled it apart and tried to start the truck but again nothing, and smoke started coming out again...

anyone has any clue as to what might be wrong here? thanks in advance.
