I just bought a complete Baer big brake kit for the Yukon. The short and skinny of it: Baer Eradispeed plus one, 14" rotors zincwashed, Ebay-$879!! For the whole kit...Front and rear!:nopity::D , I'll probably have to take pics. when I get back from vacation, or I could have my wife snap a couple while I'm installing them!

I got the fronts installed today, but they gave me the wrong kit for the rears, I'll call them tomorrow and see what they want to do. Here's a couple pics of the front.

Initial bite is much quicker, I haven't given them the full stand yet, you're supposed to "season" the rotors before going banzai on 'em, and the "seasoning" process takes 400-500 miles so I'll let you know as they progress. I picked up the correct rears from Baer yesterday, very helpful people, these guys really know their stuff! I'll get some picks up as soon as I get the rears installed.

Is the rear kit a disc upgrade, or a drum to disc conversion? I plan to do a brake upgrade after i get 22's.

It's an upgrade, the SUV's still have 4 wheel disc's, it adds 14" rotors.

I imagine you probably have the rears installed & both front & rears seasoned by now? I'd appreciate hearing your driving impressions from before & after, along with any measurements on stopping distance, comments on streetability, etc.

Thanks

Actaully I do have them all installed but have not seasoned them yet, but I have had to make a couple of "panic" stops with them and I'll tell you what, these are definitely worth the money. I haven't measured any stops yet, but I can tell you they stop better than any car I've owned to date (over 300). As far as streetability, they don't squeal, they don't pulsate or pull, the intial bite is much more solid than stock, pedal is right at the top, and other than having to buy a 17" steel rim for a spare (which I still haven't done) they are completely unobtrusive, and they look awesome too.

Wait i thought they had to be 18" Minimum Rims

Me too, but the guys at Baer told me they found a 17" steel Cragar wheel (black wagon wheel) that fits perfectly, and still fits under the truck! So that's my next purchase!
