99 Denali Rear Windows

Hey there. First time poster. I have a 99 Yukon Denali. I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle from day one. 110% thankful I had extended warranty.

Anyhow. Something that has bothered me from day 1 is that the rear windows only go down about 6 inches. I understand the reason but figure I should be given the choice wether to have child protect on. Our puppy is having a tough time getting its head out that crack. Lol..

My question is whether or not the rear windows can be made to go down further. Is it a physical stop in the door or a limit switch?

Part 2 \..... is: Do the Defroster strips on the back window lose life? They seem to be getting power but take a very long time to do any good.

Cheers, VrT

Im assuming this is a regular Yukon Denali, not the XL right? If so, its physcially impossible for the glass to go all the way down due to the wheel arch. Its not a child protective thing, its physics. If it was a safety thing, then the Suburban, Yukon XL and Escalade EXT rear windows would stop half way too. But they dont. They go all the way down.
