LB7 vs. LLY

I went and looked at a 2005 Silverado Duramax with about 30k miles yesterday. Started it up and the response seemed a bit sluggish. I revved it a couple of times and each time, there was a slight delay. Is this normal with the LLY engine? What are some differences I could expect to notice between my current LB7 and the LLY? Thanks!

I have the LLY in my 2005. The computer will hold the motor back until proper engine temp is met. Once the motor is warm, it will respond much differently. Of course there is always a turbo lag...
