I am attempting to replace the rear bumper on my 2005 gmc sierra and don't know how to take off the trim and mechanism for the spare lowering device. It is the only thing left to remove the bumper and I can't figure it out?

Can anybody help me? Thanks much. John

Thanks for answering. Figured it out late afternoon. I thought it was firmly attached through the cable but it is not. I did pull like #### and it came right off with the bumper as two pieces (the housing to the tire lowering mechanism stayed and the other parted with the bumper) with one end firmly attached to the bumper. I removed a cerrated ring with a big screwdriver, prying, and it came off slick.
