Torsion Leveling

Soo i finally got around to playing with the torsion bars last night. I put 8 turns into both of them to level out the truck. I counted the exposed threads on the bolts then i measured from the bottom of the framerails to ensure it was level on both axis. I have got to say, it looks alot better now. I was afraid of the ride being too stiff but its actually better. Before it was very squishy feeling and now it feels just right, like a 3/4 ton should be. After i drove it around on the road for a while i took it to some small dunes and whoops to see how the travel and ride offroad had changed. Ive got to say, i can go alot faster over the trails now and with more control. Im a believer in the torsion leveling. It leveled it out, improved the ride and now ill be able to fit 285's on it when my 265's wear out. I know alot of you say its murder on the frontend but for a 2500HD it works just fine.

Just wanted to put some positive comments about torsion lifting out there.

As long as you don't go too crazy on the torsion bar cranking and your CV angles are not too bad I don't think it's murder but front end parts will wear a little faster. Where are the pictures?

Did you jack up the truck to take some of the load off the bars or crank them with the front tires on the ground? Did the 8 turns crank the bolts in all the way and how much down travel is left?

Thanks for any info you can give.

When I did mine I went to a buddy's shop and put it on the lift cranked them up a little, set it back down I drove it around so it could settle and repeated that process several times to get it just right and level...the next day I went and had it alligned...some will say you dont have to do that but I figure better safe than sorry
