Engine Bogging off idle when cold.

Well, after the thread below about the 8.1L bogging, I was on the phone with my friend who's still a service manager and he recalls there being a T.S.B. on 6.0L and 8.1L V8's with cold running hesitation.  I told him it seems as if it's related to the "live-by-wire" throttle actuation and he said that sounds vaguely familiar.  This T.S.B. evidently involves some sort of programming patch.

Yea, there is a PCM re-flash available but I don't have the number available.  I did it a year ago.

The reflash "description" is listed on the engine calibrations website  http://calid.gm.com/vci/

 

Don't recall actually seeing a TSB.

I don't remember if it was a TSB or not.  I simply put my vin# in GM's system and it came up with this reflash.

 

I've used the Calid website for other miscellaneous things but nothing came up, so I can't argue it's accuracy.

 

Input your Vin# at that Calid website and see what pops up.

Here's what just came up for mine.  One of these could've been the re-flash.  My guess is it's the one for the operating system as I updated it's controllers when I flashed it.
