TPMS Question

Good Morning,

I am pondering putting on a new set of 20" wheels. If I do this and don't install the TPMS sensors from the stock wheels to the new wheels will it set-off an error code on the dash?

Honestly, I am not really sure if I have the TPMS on the Z71. Should I have the stock sensors taken out of the stock 17" wheels and installed into the new 20" wheels? Does the dealership have to recalibrate them?

Can I simply skip them all togeher and just order a tire & wheel package and be done with it?

Regards,

John

If you do indeed have the TPMS then yes, you'll have a message on your driver information center (DIC). If you do decide to transfer the sensors to your new wheels, you can calibrate them yourself. Your owner's manual should have the procedure on how to accomplish this. I did this when I went from stock to the 20" I have now.
