sputtering silverado

1999 silverado 5.3L 130,000 miles. any start up cold or not it will sputter and hesitate when put in gear and try to drive almost sounds like its gonna die will run fine after 20-30 secs of idling before trying to drive thought it may have been bad fuel pump but new pump and filter hasnt changed anything. No codes have shown up. I have no exhaust after the converter would this affect the problem. Transmission also shifts back and forth from low to high gear when in 4wheel low. Any suggestions?

I think that it's strange that you're not getting a code, if this was problem was caused by your exhaust, then you should be getting a low backpressure code, another thing that I can think of is your Mass Airflow Sensor, because this somewhat sounds like what mine was doing, but I kept getting kicked a P0101 (Mass Airflow Sensor Out Of Range)

I had the mass airflow sensor checked out and cleaned, its working properly. I'm thinking it may still be fuel related problem.
