07 Silverado up close

I have to say I have not been a fan of the 07s but after seeing a 07 CC SB Z71 tonight up close they are really a fine looking truck.I'm in love!

I saw one up close and in person for the first time last night. Personally, I love the interior, both of them. The fender "bulges" look aweful and the chrome bar between two painted bumper corners just looks odd. It should have been colored like the corners.

Price? Whew, I about craped my pants! On the lot was a Crew Cab LTZ with everything except roof and DVD and the sticker was $41,000. I am sorry, but that is WAY too much for a half ton truck! They had a cloth LT2 for $38,000.

Of course, when I went to the other end of the lot, they had rows and rows of Avalanches, Tahoes and Suburbans sitting there, looking sharp with "$2000 rebate" painted on the windshield.

I just don't like the exterior look of the new trucks.

I really dont like the looks of the exterior on the new chevy trucks either. I am waiting to see the gmc trucks up in person, to see if they look any better.

i saw a new GMC on the lot the other day, i like the outside, especially the front end, not sure about the dodge ram tailights but past that pretty sharp, i also dont care for the car like interior, afterall its a truck!!! and i agree with Elwood 2000, "$41,000. I am sorry, but that is WAY too much for a half ton truck! They had a cloth LT2 for $38,000."

it sure is!!!! And my biggest dislike (no punt intended) is the size of these "full size" trucks, ANY half ton dodge or ford towers over these trucks!!!!!!! these trucks are NO bigger than previous body styles, come on GM

I believe the prices are only expensive because of the limited quantities that are out right now. Supply and Demand! And yall dis the interior sayin its too nice. Well it is very nice even for the w/t version but the guages look like they are really easy to read and and ive seen the new trucks and to me they are just as big as fords or dodges but why would ya want a ford or dodge? the fender flares i didnt like at first butthey have grown onme and look quite nice in personi thought.

Anyway thats my opinion

im not sayin at all that i would want a ford or dodge, too many family members work for GM so i would catch all kinds of crap, not that i would switch anyway, i was just stating my observations,

The one I looked at had more options than my 05 and was just over $35,000 sticker, same as my 05.

I saw the new GMT900 CCSB Z71 myself for the first time today at a local dealership. I was picking up a company Impala and they were prepping one in the service area. Much better looking truck in person than it is in picture. I'm still not in love with the fender flares (I think the Yukon fenders are much cleaner looking). My only real visual beef is the stance. Even with 4WD the gap from the top of the front tire to the wheel opening only looked to be about 5" while the gap in the rear end looked to have about 8". When I first looked at it I instantly thought they had the back of the truck on a lift and the axle was sagging but that's how it was sitting on the ground. Looked sort of like a boxy funny car.

Yeah I noticed the front end sag too. My Colorado had it. Turn those torsion bars and your all set. Wait...does the new truck even have torsion bar front suspension?

Saw my first one today coming down the road at me. The first thing that caught my eye was how W I D E it is. A lot of grill and smallish looking headlights. These are REALLY going to have to grow on me. Can't wait to see the GMC's.

As far as I know, they're all coilovers.

All 1500's at least are coilovers. I am not sure about the 2500's and 3500's. I bet they will still be a torsion bar setup. They look more durable

The weird part was I was at another Chevy dealership and they had the same truck but the sag in the front end wasn't nearly as pronounced. I'd say as much as my old 2000 Silvy.
