well, have a new denali XL, trans oil cooler, etc.

i'm interested in changing the tranny oil after breakIN; is there a tranny oil filter as well? to get any flakes out, etc, is it better to drop the pan or just have it sucked out?

any advise on this appreciated...

There is a filter inside the pan. You can also add an inline filter if you like. They range from a simple inline filter that attaches in a rubber line with clamps all the way to a aux spin on aux. filter that mounts with a mounting bracket.

By all means, if you change it, drop the pan, clean the magnet and change the filter. I think you will find most everyone on this forum does not agree with the"sucking it out method".

Are you planning to tow with the truck?
