I'm thinking about purchasing a OBDII code scanner and was wondering what others are using...Any recommendations or brands to stay away from...

i have an actron obdii code reader that works fine. was only about 80$ at the auto parts store

I picked up an Innova CanOBD2 off of eBay a few months ago. Just seemed liked you got more for you money vs Actron. They pretty much all give you the same info. Better than owning one is having a friend that owns one. Unless you plan on having lots of problems.

I have a SCAN GAUGE2. leave it pluged in scans for codes in scan mode or go to gauge mode you get rpm,mpg,speed,timming,air intake temp,water temp,and alot more.also has trip mode mpg, ave mpg, miles to empty and more.
