Coolant leak center of truck left side

HI every body, last week end I did a flushing job to my cooling system on my 1999 2500 Burb. Sunday morning, what a surprise to look at a puddle of expensive Dexcool coolant on my garage ciment floor. It's appear to be a coolant leaking on one of the four aluminium pipes that's run from front to rear for A/C and heating stuff. I cut and fix the pipe with a fuel hose (from gates) that I had and seal it with garden hose clips. My question is, (knowing the voracity of the general for money) does anybody ever changes those heating aluminium pipes with hoses ?
