Anyone know the size of my front and rear speakers? (07 Silverado Crew Cab)

I know the front has a seperate tweeters.. And the rear speakers are round not oval shaped like a 6X9 shape...

Since I have seperate tweeters does that mean I am better off buying Componet speakers for the front?

Unless they have made drastic changes in the last few years, the front's should be 6 1/2" component set. Personally, I like the components better that the 2 or 3 way speakers.

get polk audio db6500 or 650

Can I use them with the stock head unit?

Yeah, but they'll sound a LOT better if you amp them.

Plus, you can blow speakers by cranking it up and not feeding them enough juice a lot easier than you can blow them with too much juice. Based on my experience anyway

Yea I knew you can blow them faster with not enough power vs too much...

I will add a head unit and amp later just need to get rid of the POS stock speakers for now..

I think the Bostons sound really nice in the front doors. I have 6.5 boston compents in my front doors they are the RC serries and they sound really nice. Even when i had the factory unit they sounded clean till i put am amp on them.

Ive got kicker 6.5 components RS series (RS65.2) which handle 200/100 powered by the kicker ZX350.4 running 2ch which pushes 175watts to each door. If you want it loud id go with this setup. I blow away people with my system in my regular cab '99nbs. I also have a zx1500.1 (1705watts) running my kicker l7 15" 2000watt max which i really wish i would have got the more powerfull zx2500.1 because they can handle the watts. Ive had some one say that was your truck? After i turned my stereo off. It pounds good and is exceptionally clean only thing i need is some mids maybe two shallow mount 8 or 10 pioneer under the seats along with a seat lift. Stock charging system is holding up just fine at this point with the two amps.
