Steering Rod Clearance

I recently noticed a metal on metal rubbing noise in my front suspension, when I looked under there i saw that the joint connecting my steering rod to my spindle was scratching the inner part of my wheel. Eventuallty i guess they will rub so much that the problem will go away, and it doesnt look like this will mess with the structural integrity of the parts. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. By the way, the spindle is part of a lift kit i put on but that was 5 months ago.
