ill check the cat, but it stalls every 5 seconds not just 1 time

I understood that, but it's something to check. Gotta start somewhere rather than just sitting here debating it. Sometimes it's just a process of elimination.

Just saying "it stalls every 5 seconds" isn't a lot to go on. If you haven't done any diagnosis whatsoever, we'll get nowhere fast... which is really what we're doing at this point.

Mr GM-Tech, in the last post you made it seem like JE-C had not tried anything to fix the problem. Trust me, we have (yes i know JE-C  ). We just thought that you might have some fresh ideas... being that we can't figure it out (which are highly, highly appreciated btw THANKS  ) This truck has been to 5 mechanics. 3 of those i personally know, 1 which was highly recomended by a friend, and the last being a gm dealer. After spending a few hundred dollars on each of them, no one has solved the problem. Many things have been checked and/or replaced. some of which include air sensors, 0xygen sensors, fuel sensors, checked for leaks, we even tried "playing" with the speed sensors, among other things... and we still cannot find the problem. We just hoped that you being a GM Tech have seen this problem before and could help us take care of it. Thanks for your help. We really do appreciate it.

No, *I* didn't make it seem that way, HE did. His post, and several replies to my posts, gives NO indication that any sort of diagnosis was done. So what else am I to think? There was nothing that said all those things you said. Why was that?

I'm sorry but I'm tired of spending enormous amounts of time giving diagnosic checks to follow, or suggestions only to have the person come back and say, "Oh, we already did that." Or to have them totally ignored and they come back with another post asking what's wrong without indicating they had done what I asked. or done anything. BIG waste of my time, I'll tell ya.

Do you have any idea what it's like to get a post that says, "I have this noise, what is it?" or, "My truck quit running, what's wrong?" Jeez, what, I have a freaking crystal ball?

These things can be difficult to diagnose when you have the vehicle right there in your hands, as you have found out. Trying to do so over the internet with absolutly no information is nearly impossible.
