Finally got a new tranny!

Yep, my truck spent the last Thursday and Friday in the shop getting a new tranny put underneath it. I picked it up Friday afternoon, sorry I didn't post sooner. My transmission had problems shifting into reverse for several years now, and these past couple of weeks it became terrible. It would not fully engage reverse at all and it wouldn't "slam" into gear like it did sometimes either. It would move slowly if I revved the engine (2000rpms = 1mph) but wouldn't even crawl up the smallest incline, like my driveway. I'd have to move forward, then rev the crap out of it in reverse so my momentum would carry me up the hill! So I decided to take the plunge and get a new transmission (I didn't just want to have it rebuilt). My pocketbook is going to be hurting for a while, but it was worth having a working reverse! The new tranny also shifts a helluva lot smoother than the old one did, and I didn't think the old one shifted so bad either!

 

So yeah, me is happy, even though my wallet shrank.

 

BTW: I should be getting a Dynomax Bullet put on my truck in a few weeks, I'll get you guys some sound clips when I do!
