Won't start

I started my 96 GMC 5.7L which has 180k on it and put it in reverse and it died and hasn't started since. I replaced the battery with a new one because it was showing bad when I had it tested. I also replaced the fuel filter which was clogged. I can hear the fuel pump working which I've already replaced twice in the truck's life. There is fuel that comes out of the valve behind the intake when I push it in but I'm not sure what the pressure should be. When I spray starting fluid into the air intake it tries to start. What should I look at replacing to get it running again? Thanks

Any luck yet? Did you try putting the truck in neutral, then starting it? Sounds more like an electrical problem. Check the cap and rotor, plugs, wires, etc.
